i like the abc button. it's nine-hole button that you can stitch rudimentary letters into. i wonder if they're a little less functional, though - you need a little give in a button.

weekend highlights included short films, the new year (really good but woefully underattended, especially for texas), my regular dose of dancing at d & c's house, several nice meals, and a ton of chatting. and some laundry. i was going to try and start on the wire finally as laundry viewing, but the one first season disc vulcan didn't have was the very first one. so i got jon to watch state of play with me.

acl is happening this weekend. don't let me forget and try to go to barton springs or something. i wish there were some aftershows i wanted to attend, but so far i'm not thrilled with anything. i would have liked to see m. ward, but his only non-acl show is opening for conor oberst and that doesn't sound worth it.
